WHAT IS METABOLIC TYPING AND HOW IMPORTANT IS IT?

How important to healing is Dr. Kelley's discovery of Metabolic Typing? To quote Linda Clark of the prestigious Price - Pottenger Foundation: “I consider Dr. Kelley's work the Most Important Nutritional Discovery in the Last 150 Years!”

Metabolic typing was discovered  in the 1960's by William Donald Kelley D.D.S., M.S. He determined that each person has a unique metabolism, and that the proportion of proteins, carbohydrates and fats that are optimal for one person may not be for another and could even be harmful to them.

Metabolic Typing reveals the our strengths and weaknesses that make each of us as unique as our fingerprints. Our Autonomic Nervous System has two parts, the Sympathetic and the Parasympathetic. Each works in opposition to the other, yet they work together to maintain metabolic balance and efficiency. Together they work to maintain the proper functioning of all our organs and glands.

The kind of food and the proportions of the proteins, fats, and carbohydrates are very different for each Metabolic Type. There are 3 main Metabolic Types, each of these types have 4 sub-types for a total of 12. Your Metabolic Type determines your individual nutritional requirements. Once you know your Metabolic Type you can choose foods that heal instead of harm you.

MYTH: A vegetarian diet or a diet high in fruits and vegetables and low in protein and fat is good for you.
TRUTH: If it's wrong for your Metabolic Type, this diet can make you sick or create health problems for you.

MYTH: To lose weight you need to reduce calories and limit fat, or protein, or carbs.
TRUTH: Calories, fat, protein, or carbs don't make you fat. What does make you fat is the inability to properly metabolize them.

MYTH: To lose weight all you need to do is reduce calories and exercise more.
TRUTH: Of the millions of people that have done that, the majority fail to lose weight and gain instead. Reducing calories lead to food cravings, binge dieting, mood swings. Any weight loss is usually temporary and in the end more weight is gained. When you eat right for your Metabolic Type the hunger, cravings, binges and mood swings disappear.

MYTH: If you take lots of supplements your body will take what it needs and discard the rest.
TRUTH: Nutrients have specific effects on the body. Take the wrong nutrients for your Metabolic Type and you will worsen or create new imbalances and all of the problems that go with them. Nutrients indeed have the power to heal, they also have the power to make you ill if they are wrong for your Metabolic Type.

MYTH: Everyone should take calcium, or vitamin C, or anti-oxidants, etc.
TRUTH: A nutrient can help one person and have no effect on another, or possibly harm them.

You can eat organic food, take quality supplements, drink pure water and get rest & exercise, but if you do not meet the needs of your Metabolic Type, you’ll only be wasting your time and money.

So how important is Metabolic Typing? Without knowing the unique needs of your individual body there is no way to know what foods and supplements your metabolism requires for health. Dr. William Kelley developed Metabolic Typing and used it in over 40,000 of his personal cancer patients. When he incorporated this into his protocol, his cure rate went from 60% to over 90%. Those results are phenomenal and can be applied to every area of our health.

This explains why there are so many different ideas and theories on diets and treatments. What works for one Metabolic Type can be the opposite of what another needs. This is the answer to finding out what is required for our individual needs. There are several counterfeit tests that claim to be Dr. Kelley's on the internet for sale. They are not his test! Dr. Kelley’s original Metabolic Test has 245 questions. No one has achieved the results that Dr. Kelley had. Many have changed, shortened and modified his research, they all fall short. Every question is there for a reason.
